The history of Sigma Software can be traced back to 1995 when colleagues at several IT departments of Hartron Corporation set up the ITC Group. The main focus of the Group's activities was the development of software projects for European and US customers. In 2000, in order to enhance its competitive position on the growing outsourcing market, the eSP Consortium was created, bringing together more than 280 experts from six major IT companies in Kharkiv.
In 2002 the managing company of the Consortium was registered under the new name Eclipse Software Programming (Eclipse SP). Thus May 10, 2002 is the official foundation date of the company as it looks today. From that moment the active development of the company has begun. A development office in Odesa and a representative office in Arlington, the USA, were opened, as well as representative offices in Switzerland and Austria. The company achieved the status of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and established development centers for large US and European clients. Also, the company started to develop own products.
In 2006 Eclipse SP became a part of the Sigma Group (sigma.se). It facilitated work on the Scandinavian market and allowed the company to participate in the development of new and interesting projects for major international companies.
In 2011 the company changed its name to Sigma Ukraine, thus confirming its status as a member of the international Sigma Group of companies, which has offices in eleven countries and employs more than 2200 specialists. In 2014 the company went worldwide and changed the name to Sigma Software.
Sigma Software actively expands the core competencies through launching new expertise in different areas as well as through participating in the world`s largest thematic events such as Mobile World Congress, ICE Totally Gaming, Sweden-Ukraine business forum. We have successfully passed ISO recertification and continue contributing to Ukrainian IT education development through participation in the Tempus program and extensive cooperation with universities. More than 500 specialists are in the Sigma Software team.
Sigma Ukraine changes the name to Sigma Software. We are moving to the next level, turning into a solutions provider, offering the most effective ways to create smart products. The EVA platform, developed by Sigma Software, helps to create enterprise-level solutions with significant time savings; the Xamarin platform makes it really easy to develop mobile solutions. Company went global opening offices in Warsaw (Poland) and San Jose (the USA). Offices in Kyiv and Lviv started operations. We have entered Lviv IT-BPO Cluster and have become a member of Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce. The company significantly strengthened expertise in embedded systems development, cloud computing, launched Big Data competence, and leveraged design skills. We have participated in several important events: the first ever American-Ukrainian IT conference, Swedish-Ukrainian and Norwegian-Ukrainian business forums.
|2013||Sigma Ukraine is among 6 main businesses in Sigma Group. The company started working with Motorola Solutions and the US leading tech company in the area of video advertising Collective Media. Together with Sigma Connectivity we have delivered another successful solution in embedded area, by developing audio, video and WLAN drivers for high-technology project. Sigma Ukraine expanded cooperation with startups from different countries. For the US and UK-based startup we developed from scratch an innovative mobile messaging platform for publishers and advertisers.
In November 2013 Sigma Ukraine signed cooperation agreement with GTF fund. Within this agreement framework, the company provided the best startups with technical and consulting support, using its profound knowledge in development processes and software technologies.
In the Q4 Sigma Ukraine ran through the process of rebranding. By the end of 2013 we were the team of 440 professionals.
|2012||Sigma Ukraine celebrated its 10th anniversary and renewed the ISO certificate with an international upgrade.
Together with 5 Ukrainian and 3 European universities, companies IKEA and Sigma Kudos (now Sigma Technology), Sigma Ukraine joined the Tempus project — an international program initiated by European Commission and aimed at promotion of the synergy between academic programs, research expertise, and business.
Sigma Ukraine together with AT&T developed XAML controls to be shown at the launch of Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.
We have signed a strategic agreement with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) — the leading Scandinavian carrier. The company started cooperation with Bamboo Solutions — a leading provider of software solutions for Microsoft SharePoint in the United States. Sigma Ukraine made a successful delivery of debt collection solution for the First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB). The developed system fully supports collection process monitoring and reporting to enhance real-time decision-making at all management levels.
The company contributed to Ukrainian IT community development organizing Kharkiv biggest technological conference NETwork.
|2011||The company’s official name changed to Sigma Ukraine, which confirmed the solid presence of the Swedish Sigma Group on the Ukrainian market. We accomplished iPad projects for world-renowned Japanese automotive brands.
Sigma Ukraine was among initiators of Ukrainian IT education development. As a part of the Working Group led by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and aimed at educational system improvement, Sigma Ukraine representatives worked on the document that foresaw creating a bridge between universities and IT business. It was supposed to meet requirements of IT industry and business associations, as well as major technical universities from 4 Ukrainian largest cities. The company undertook organizing role in the elaboration of this document, which was signed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine in September 2011.
|2010||Successful development of mobile competence, signing a major contract with a Finnish company to develop Microsoft SharePoint portal; held a contest for students in partnership with GTECH. Active development of Kharkiv and Odesa offices. Began cooperation with a Swedish real estate software house.|

Partnered with the Greek IT company Qualco to sell their product, Qualco Collections Software, in Ukraine. Start of work for the American Los Angeles-based consultancy company JLOOP.|
|2008||We opened a representative office in Kyiv, participated in initiatives of the Swedish Government and the Swedish Trade Council in Ukraine. The company increased its presence on the Ukrainian market with our partners' products in the field of document management. We entered the pharmaceutical market, gained confirmation of GAMP compliance, and started a project with a major international pharmaceutical company.|
