The Ambassador of Sweden visited Sigma Software office
The Ambassador of Sweden in Ukraine Mr. Andreas von Beckerath came to see Sigma Software office in the frameworks on his visit to Kharkiv. He took a tour on the office and discussed some topical issues of Ukraine and Sweden cooperation with the business team of the company.
For the second year Sigma Software is a partner of the Sweden-Ukraine Business Forum, aiming at facilitation of networking between Swedish and Ukrainian organizations and highlighting the prospects of economic and social development of Ukraine. Organized by the Embassy of Sweden and a consulting organization Business Sweden, the event will take place in mid-June to gather Ukrainian and Swedish high officials and the leading business representatives.
During his visit to Kharkiv on May 15th Mr. Ambassador have paid a call to Sigma Software office for a small tour and met representatives of the business team. Among the topics that were discussed in the course of his visit are the current situation in the sector and its perspectives, talent pool and development of educational system in Ukraine, as well as opportunities for cooperation expanding between our two countries.
“Sweden is among the top 20 countries that invest in Ukrainian economy the most. Ukraine has a big potential, many Swedish companies are now actually considering the country as a place to expand businesses. The key thing to unlock this potential is reforms implementation by the government. Ukraine should fight corruption and make the conditions of doing business attractive, and then we will see the increase of investments,” Mr. Ambassador says. “Ukrainian ICT sector, I believe, is among the most promising directions now.”
