Big Sigma Software’s Birthday Fundraising

Sigma Software is turning 23! We approach our new year with 2000+ people in 43 offices located in 21 countries, a few additions to our ecosystem, and many recognitions for our professional and social achievements.

Looking back at the company’s history, we see striving for development, dedication to building a successful IT ecosystem, and growing a partners’ network worldwide. Quite a long time ago, we stopped being just software developers. We have been contributing to IT education, helping startups emerge and grow, taking part in dialogs with governments and promoting international cooperation.

Big Birthday Fundraising for UNBROKEN

Our traditions are changing too, and CSR initiatives are becoming a big part of our life. Established by our company Sigma Software Unity Fund has collected and transferred over $5M (210 million UAH) to the Ukrainian Army and civilians since 2022. The Fund holds fundraising initiatives and fulfils various projects aimed at strengthening city security, restoring infrastructure, assisting civilians, and supporting the army.

The Fund helped Kherson city after the dam explosion, supported Janika Merilo`s project aimed at finding Ukrainian kids illegally relocated to russia, donated to Okhmatdyt Hospital after the enemy shelling, provided equipment of a training room for FPV drone pilots based in hospitals together with “Patients of Ukraine”, and more.

Sigma SOftware Unity Fund Results

One of the most notable projects of Sigma Software Unity Fund in 2024 was a large fundraising campaign in honor of Sigma Software’s 22nd birthday in partnership with the Kharkiv IT Cluster. Instead of having a big party for the company’s birthday, we chose to support an important social project. We collected $45,000 for protecting Ukrainian cities from enemy shelling.

This year, we would like to continue our new tradition of supporting a good cause for the company’s birthday. The initiative we will join this year focuses on helping Ukrainian defenders that undergo treatment and rehabilitation in Lviv.

On the occasion of the company’s 23rd birthday, we announce a big fundraising for equipping the UNBROKEN Medical Rehabilitation Center near Lviv. The new center will become the largest facility in the “UNBROKEN” ecosystem. The ecosystem is the best surgery and prosthetics, all types of rehabilitation, shelter and work, treatment with sports and art for Ukrainians who have suffered from the war.

During the full-scale invasion, more than 20,000 wounded Ukrainians, including 360 children, were rescued at the UNBROKEN Center alone. This is the largest medical space in Ukraine, where adults and children undergo a full cycle of treatment: from emergency care to prosthetics and psychological rehabilitation.

The new center will combine modern medical buildings, a green park area for recreation, sports grounds for physical rehabilitation, and an outdoor pool adapted to the needs of patients. Here the patients who have undergone treatment, stabilization, and the acute phase of rehabilitation in hospitals and the UNBROKEN Center, which are part of the First Medical Association of Lviv, will continue their rehabilitation. The project is implemented by the Lviv City Council and supported by the Government of Lithuania, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society and GIZ.

We invite you to join our fundraising to help thousands of people recover physically and psychologically. This would also be a way to send us your congratulations on our 23rd birthday.

The fundraising continues from May 9 to 30, inclusive.

We will announce the fundraising results in June. Stay tuned to find out the total amount we will raise.
