I remember my first experience with Web3—about four years ago. I opened a web wallet for one of the popular blockchains. My reaction was, ‘Wow, really? This was developed by a company that costs over $5 billion?’

That is, in my perspective, one of the main challenges of Web3 adoption among traditional users who are very picky regarding convenient and user-friendly interfaces. Many blockchain apps are written by very creative people, mostly engineers without proper UI expertise.

It’s not always like that, but I would say in most cases it is.

No wonder these projects often fall as fast as they rise, but not only because of UI. Currently, the situation is changing, and there are very many convenient wallets and apps. But still, a lot of new projects such as decentralized exchanges, lack good straightforward UI and quality.

I think Web3’s main challenge is finding the right balance between innovation and robust software development processes. The answer could be combining blockchain hotheads and developers from the professional service IT business in one ecosystem. Web2 has set high standards for user-friendly interfaces and seamless experiences. Web3 can learn and adopt these practices to make blockchain and decentralized applications more accessible to non-technical users.
