Eclipse SP co-organized first ever Java User Group in Odessa
The first ever meeting of Java specialists in Odessa, Ukraine, gathered 85 specialists and introduced 3 speakers, two of them from Eclipse SP, on March, 31.
It is about half a year since the first Odessa .NET User group was launched, which is now the most active .NET User Group in Ukraine. After the successful start, event organizers – the Computer Academy SHAG and Eclipse SP – have decided to launch another user group, now on Java technologies.
The first event gathered 85 participants and three speakers. Two Eclipse SP specialists from Odessa office made speeches highlighting different angels of using Java:
- ‘New concurrency utilities in Java 1.7’;
- ‘Usage of Qualcomm Augmented Reality SDK for Android applications’.
Eclipse SP specialists with their broad practical experience are willing to share the knowledge with other on the market on such occasions. This time, a speech named ‘Usage of Qualcomm Augmented Reality SDK for Android applications’ described the experience of taking part in Qualcomm Augmented Reality contest, where an augmented reality application for Android mobile OS was presented by Eclipse SP.
“Today we actively develop our Java and mobile competences. So we are very excited about helping Ukrainian IT community growing its technological competence in these fields,” says Valery Krasovsky, Eclipse SP COO. “Our Odessa office keeps evolving, and we are very proud of our specialists who actively contribute to user groups and drive this wonderful initiative.”
Due to the positive experience of the first meeting, it is planned to continue holding Java User Groups in Odessa.
