NETwork 2012 conference results
The NETwork 2012 conference, fully dedicated to Microsoft technologies, took place on November 10th in Kharkiv. Sigma Ukraine organized the conference second year running.
"Also this year Sander Hoogendoorn, Principal Technology Officer and Global Agile Thought leader at Capgemini, was a popular keynote speaker," said Anastasia Kladova, PR manager at Sigma Ukraine.
"It is great to be back in Kharkov," says Sander Hoogendoorn. "There are so many good developers here in Ukraine, that it's an honor to be welcomed once again." Sander is well known for his books on agile and UML, and as speaker at over 100 international conferences, such as TechEd North America, TechEd Europe, XP Days Ukraine, ACCU and OOP. Sander also did another largely improvised talk where he programmed smart use cases in Windows 8 live on stage.
The conference highlighted the newly released Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 stack of technologies, which was done by both Ukrainian and European speakers with different points of view.
Another keynote speaker was Anders Bratland — developer, independent IT consultant, Certified Microsoft Trainer, well-known speaker at such conferences as TechDays, Scandinavian Developer Conference and Developer Summit.
The event program also included 7 speeches from Ukrainian speakers — Alexander Beletsky, Anatoly Kolesnik, Dmitry Mindra, Anton Vidishchev, Alexandr Konduforov, Sergey Berezhnoy and Yevhen Vakulchyk. Just like last year, all speeches were divided into three streams, so that participants could choose the stream that fitted the best with their areas of interest.
"NETwork conference main goal is to become a platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge, and this goal was achieved. We hope that the next year NETwork will once again bring together professionals who cheer for what they do again," said Vladimir Beck, Sigma Ukraine CEO.
