Our CSR Highlights of 2024: Quality, Responsible Employer, Equal Opportunities, Education

At the moment, Sigma Software works on 400+ projects for clients in more than 30 countries. Honesty, transparency, and collaboration are the core principles guiding all our partnerships. We strive to be a reliable partner for our numerous contractors and partners, professional communities, and associations. To help our clients achieve their goals and move to a sustainable future, we extend our offering with new products and services and invest in startups solving pressing business problems.

For our 2000+ specialists in 20+ countries worldwide we try to create a sense of belonging, build an inclusive environment, create an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect in every location where we operate, and provide favorable working conditions and development opportunities for all. In 2024, we took a systematic approach to ensure the continued development of an inclusive environment at all levels — from office space and work tools to training and communication. By the end of 2024 we had 10 offices accessible to people with special needs and 2% of professionals from vulnerable groups. A veteran integration initiative was implemented in the company to make veterans’ return to work smooth.

The company also works at international, country, and industry levels to facilitate collaboration in tech industries between the countries, between the private sector and governments, and inside the IT industry to unite forces and boost the tech sector together.

By creating Sigma Software Group Ecosystem, the company aims to make impact in all areas related to technology – education, venture investments and startup acceleration, industry collaboration, and community development.

A few 2024 projects and initiatives that we are especially proud of:

• UNICORN Startup Contest 2024
  In 2024, UNICORN became the regional stage for the Startup World Cup, a prestigious series of conferences and competitions for startups. The competition spans over 75 regional contests in more than 20 countries, culminating in the Grand Final in Silicon Valley. The best startups from each region gather in the United States to compete for the grand prize of $1 million in funding.
• Defence Builder Accelerator
  Accelerator for defence startups that Sigma Software launched together with partners. Working closely with the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Defence Builder had 7 teams developing projects like aircraft-type drone guidance system, autonomous FPV drone software, optical fiber communication complexes, drone detection and neutralization turret systems, etc.
• Sigma Software Unity Fund
  Our company’s charity Sigma Software Unity fund works in Ukraine to assist civilians and support the army as well as in other countries to provide help in case of extraordinary situations or disasters.
  In 2024, the company, fund, our partners, and colleagues allocated ~ $700,000 to various projects aimed at strengthening city security, restoring infrastructure, assisting civilians, and supporting the army. The projects included support to Kharkiv Rehabilitation Spine Center which helps our defenders to recover; a special donation to the Okhmatdyt Hospital —the biggest pediatric institution in Ukraine damaged during shelling; equipping a protected educational facilities at KhAI University in Kharkiv; and more.
  A major fundraising campaign devoted to Sigma Software’s Sigma Software’s Birthday resulted in 1,702,099 UAH, or approximately $41,800, donated by our colleagues, friends, and the company.
  Since 2022, the total amount transferred to help the Ukrainian army and civilians has exceeded $4.8 million.
• Femmegineering
  Femmegineering is a project aimed at fighting stereotypes and attracting more women to technical professions. By sharing inspiring stories, holding events, and arranging educational courses to equip women with in-demand IT skills, we influence women’s role in the company and the IT industry.
  The share of women in Sigma Software reached 35% compared to 24% in the IT industry in Ukraine and 25% globally.
• Star for Life Ukraine
  Sigma Software is a strategic partner of Star for Life Ukraine, a growing charitable organization dedicated to providing children with access to quality education and computer literacy programs.
  In 2024, we participated in launching 8 tech laboratories across various regions of Ukraine and 4 tech camps in the Carpathian Mountains in 2024. These initiatives provided 639 students with direct, hands-on tech experiences. Over the past 12 months, nearly 10,000 students have participated in various Star for Life events and activities.
