Reflecting on the Year 2016
For Sigma Software 2016 was a great year in many regards. This year we have completed assignments in AdTech, Xamarin development, Business Intelligence, enterprise resource planning, Infotainment, AR/VR, document management, delivering comprehensive solutions to aviation, automotive, telecom, advertising, education, real estate, and many other industries. It is hard to mention every success, let us reflect on major milestones we have reached in the passing year.
Awards and Achievements
The acknowledgement of our achievements is listing the company as one of the Top-100 best outsourcing companies, a regular award by International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). Later this year the company entered the Top-100 most promising Microsoft solutions providers by CIOReview business magazine. The selection was based on the company’s deep industry-specific expertise and extensive experience in delivering innovative solutions. The company was also shortlisted for several credible awards.
The year was prominent in widening the circle of our partners. We have started cooperation with a number of companies, from the very promising startups to the world-known brands.
One more Sigma Software endeavor for this year was breaking new grounds. We have tasted new areas and recent trends to boost our developers’ creative abilities, offer our customers new services, and make sure we apply top of technology methods.

This year Sigma Software accomplished a variety of assignments leveraging the new immersive user experience scenarios with AR/VR devices to include Microsoft HoloLens, Epson Moverio, Sony SmartEyeGlass, as well as using the traditional handhelds with cameras and sensors. The business areas included remote guidance and training, field operations, facilities management, game development.”
However, our scope of interest is not limited by technology and business. Our company seeks for further development and cares for everything that happens around, including sustainability and social welfare. Sigma Software takes part in numerous CSR activities: from investing in country`s future through education development, implementing ecological standards in our offices and our lives, providing our specialists with decent working conditions, to cooperation with State officials to promote the economic growth in Ukraine. Most of our CSR activities for the previous years were presented in our first CSR report released in 2016.
The company also joined a charity project with Okean Elzy musical band. The project is aimed at creating education opportunities to social orphans in Ukraine by providing them with a possibility to plunge into information technology world and boost math and English.
Advancement of Education
For many years, the company has been contributing to IT education development. This year we have reached a new level by launching Sigma Software University, a platform for learning, sharing knowledge and experience, which embraces educational activities at all stages: from the support of educational programs for children to cooperation with universities and courses for those, who already have some experience in IT.
In 2016, company sponsored a full B.S. Degree Education for a student of the Ukrainian Catholic University (Lviv). Along with the opportunity to study, he got a chance to take part in trainings, workshops, and thematic events organized by Sigma Software University, participate in internships, receive mentorship support from the company experts, etc.
“Education support is a significant part of our CSR activities, still there are much more,” says Valery Krasovsky, CEO at Sigma Software. “This year the company have developed the Lviv City online portal. The aim of this project was to provide the public with unhindered access to the key indicators of the city in a convenient format. With our help, Lviv now became friendlier to its citizens and guests.”
