Sigma is a General Partner of IT-Eureka student`s contest
"IT-Eureka! Ukraine" is held within the framework of the Tempus project "National Education Framework for Enhancing IT Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship". Being a program member, Sigma became a General Partner of the contest.
IT-Eureka is open for all students of Ukrainian universities and is supported by Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science. The Contest has two nominations:
- the best innovation idea
- the best innovation solution
The project selection is performed in two stages. The first selection ends on December 31st with submitted projects evaluation and selection of finalists. The applications submission phase ended on November 30th and collected over 790 registrations and 444 projects. The second stage foresees conducting regional trainings for selected teams. The finals and winners deciding will take place on March 16-17, 2015.
As a General Partner, Sigma has prepared exciting presents for contest champions. The winners in “Best innovation idea” nomination will receive 2 tickets to Investor Day Central and Eastern Europe (IDCEE) — the biggest annual conference on Internet technologies and innovations uniting the world leading IT entrepreneurs. In its turn, the team that gets highest scores in the “Best innovation solution” nomination will have a chance to present its stand on the IT startups alley at IDCEE.
The company will also take an active part in students’ teams training and will attend the contest finals to meet Ukraine’s brightest talents among young IT generation.
“This is a great opportunity for all gifted and ambitious students to show themselves,” says Nataly Potapova, Head of Training Department at Sigma Software. “The contest is a part of Tempus project, which means international scope, involvement of big businesses from different countries, support of European leading educational establishments.
