Sigma Software becomes a general partner of IT Eureka contest again

The contest of innovative startup projects among Ukrainian students has started again. IT Eureka Ukraine is held within the frameworks of the Tempus project and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Last year the contest was organized by Odesa National Polytechnic University and collected 790 registrations and 444 ideas and solutions. As a contest partner, Sigma awarded the winners with a possibility to present their projects at the biggest IT event in Ukraine — Lviv IT Arena.

This year the contest is hosted at Lviv Polytechnic University. The registration of applications has started on November 15th and will last till February 15th, 2016. For three months from this date the contest jury will work on projects rating, while the participants will prepare demos and presentations. The champions will be decided on May 20th.

The contest final is going to take place at the Second pan-Ukrainian Forum on IT students’ innovations in Lviv.

“The key aim of the contest is to promote innovations and entrepreneurship spirit among IT students. Through this competition we also strengthen the cooperation between universities and IT business to unlock the students` creative potential. We expect participants from different educational establishments from the whole country. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of interesting and innovative projects and hope that the competition will allow the future IT specialists to build their own success stories,” says Vitaliy Yakovyna, Associate Professor at Lviv Polytechnic University.
