Sigma Software Developed an App for IT Arena Based on its Own Development

Having emerged over ten years ago, IT Arena has consistently set the pace for the technology industry in Ukraine, uniting global tech enthusiasts in Lviv. Despite the challenges of war, IT Arena continues to bring together a tech-savvy crowd for three days of networking, inspiration, and business opportunities. In 2024, IT Arena expects 4000+ attendees and 100+ top speakers.

Sigma Software has never missed any IT Arena. From its first year, we’ve been its partners and active fans. In 2021, we even hosted the event in our office – IT Arena has held in the hybrid format and a few studios for online broadcasting were built in Sigma Software’s Lviv office.

This year, we’ve found a new way to support the event. Sigma Software has developed IT Arena app that makes the experience of participating in the event even more rich and efficient, allowing participants to keep all the opportunities of the agenda in the pocket.

The organizers aimed to make the app as dynamic as the community and the event itself. “A world-class event today is unthinkable without technological support that makes the experience convenient and efficient. Our app will help you easily follow the agenda and current news, interact with other participants, and make the most of the conference’s networking opportunities. The application was developed on a turnkey basis on top of Sigma Software Agenda, a proprietary product created to manage the company’s internal events. Our vast experience in holding and participating in large events helped us consider the requirements of all parties and ensure that the app will be convenient for them.

According to Oleksandr Balyuk, Program Manager, it was important to develop the app quickly and efficiently, focusing on UX and flexibility in content. All development, design, and testing took three months.

The main technology used is React Native, which allows simultaneous development of applications for iOS and Android.

The app’s functionality includes:

• Ability to register for events with limited access
• Personal attendee account
• Networking tools (list of participants and chats)
• Information about partners
• Event map
• Feedback from the team.
