Sigma Software in the Finals of NATO Innovation Challenge with Agentic AI Concept

Sigma Software has been selected as a finalist of the NATO Innovation Challenge: Agentic AI for Cognitive Warfare, a highly competitive international program focused on advancing cutting-edge technologies for complex security environments. In the finals, we presented an AI-enabled agentic platform for fighting information threats.

The NATO Innovation Challenge: Agentic AI for Cognitive Warfare explores a cognitive domain and invites a broader innovation community to shape this emerging frontier. Sigma Software, a global IT service company with deep expertise in agentic AI, cybersecurity, and compliance, joined the challenge and was selected of numerous submissions. We earned a place among just ten finalists invited to the Pitch Day. There, our team presented the concept to a distinguished panel of NATO experts, national representatives, operational users, and observers.

NATO Innovation Challenge

Our concept, CognitiveShield, is a human-led, AI-enabled agentic platform designed to help organizations respond to information threats in minutes rather than hours — while ensuring that every critical decision remains under human control.

Built for complex and high-stakes environments, CognitiveShield tackles four core challenges of modern information operations: accelerating response to emerging threats, processing vast volumes of intelligence at speed, improving coordination across distributed teams, and replacing static analysis with dynamic, real-time assessment.

What makes the platform unique is its governance-first approach. AI agents analyze, prioritize, and recommend — but humans remain the ultimate decision-makers at every consequential stage. Speed without accountability is not a solution. CognitiveShield delivers both.

This is a reflection of where Sigma Software has been quietly building for years: deep expertise in agentic AI, cybersecurity, and secure systems engineering, backed by a live innovation ecosystem — Sigma Software Labs, Defence Builder, and SID Venture Partners.

Advancing Agentic AI for Complex Environments

At Sigma Software, we navigate the complexity of AI by moving beyond isolated tools toward integrated intelligent agents. Our approach builds on deep expertise in  AI engineering , secure system integration, and data-driven solutions, ensuring that agentic AI can be deployed responsibly and effectively in real-world scenarios.

Powered by Sigma Software Labs and Venture Ecosystem

Besides technology expertise, Sigma Software relies on the strength of our innovation ecosystem. One of its components is Sigma Software Labs, our venture arm focused on supporting startups, accelerating product ideas, and building new technology solutions. The Labs has 24 companies in its portfolio and invested over $3.5 million. It is recognized by Forbes for its impact and described as one of Ukraine’s most active investors in its category.

Together with Sigma Software Labs and other partners, Sigma Software co-founded Defence Builder acceleration program and have formed a full-fledged ecosystem for the development of defense innovations in Ukraine.

Another Sigma Software’s contribution in shaping of Ukraine’s investment ecosystem is SID Venture Partners, the first venture fund in Ukraine established by IT entrepreneurs. In 2025, the fund reached a portfolio of 32 companies, maintaining its status as Ukraine’s most active early-stage VC investor, and closed six new deals.

From Innovation to Real-World Impact

Being named a finalist is an important recognition of Sigma Software’s ability to apply advanced AI concepts to real-world challenges. It also reinforces our long-term focus on advancing agentic AI solutions, integrating innovation into practical use cases as well as delivering secure and scalable systems for global clients.

Taking part in the global challenge, we remain focused on what matters most — turning innovation into tangible value in the most demanding environments.
