Sigma Software Launch in Uzbekistan

Sigma Software was born in Ukraine in 2002 and grew together with the IT ecosystem, adding IT education, startup support, and venture investments as the company`s ecosystem members. The company entered new markets with different IT industry development stages and gained diverse and valuable experience.

Now Sigma Software starts operations in Uzbekistan, where the IT industry is relatively young but is experiencing rapid growth due to the country’s increasing investment in digital infrastructure and government support for technology initiatives. So, we feel that we have a lot to contribute to all components of Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem as well as engage local talent in projects for our clients.

“Uzbekistan has great potential and ambitious goals in the IT industry. I believe this is the right time to foster collaboration that benefits all stakeholders,” comments Valery Krasovsky, CEO of Sigma Software. “As an international company with offices in over 20 countries and a global client base, Sigma Software has extensive connections at both state and industry levels. Our goal is to provide our clients with access to a growing pool of young, tech-savvy talent, while also supporting Uzbekistan in establishing a strong position on the global IT landscape.”

Alyona Nesterenko, Regional Development Manager, adds:
“We are excited to launch our operations in Uzbekistan, starting with hiring talent for our pilot location in Tashkent. IT professionals also have the opportunity to join our projects remotely from anywhere in the country. As with all our software development offices, we are committed to sharing our IT expertise, collaborating with universities, supporting the local community, and hosting conferences and other events to foster growth and innovation.”

Starting from cooperation with international enterprises and established business processes to refined IT education and startup support, Sigma Software has unique competencies and approaches to boosting IT ecosystems. A significant part of this approach is IT education.

Maxim Pochebut, Chief Learning Officer at Sigma Software, says: “In Uzbekistan, we plan to collaborate with the educational system by partnering with private and state educational institutions. These organizations will join our existing partner university program, which already includes 58 institutions where we establish IT labs, organize dual education programs, hold courses with our experts for students and professional education events for teachers. Thus, we will provide for the core activity of Sigma Software as an IT service business.

Additionally, Sigma Software University is going to offer a wide range of advanced IT programs for IT engineers aimed to streamline their career progress in software development, delivery management, architecture, AI, data science, and more. Besides that, as we see rapid digitalization in various sectors in this country, we believe that many corporations, retail networks, insurance companies, banks, and others can benefit from our business education services, including launching corporate education systems, holding specialized corporate education courses, creating custom e-learning content, etc.”
