Sigma Software Supports Star for Life Ukraine Charity Dinner in Sweden

On November 14, our partner Star for Life Ukraine held Charity Dinner in Malmö, Sweden. This was a fundraising event that brought together representatives of Swedish businesses, Sigma Group, and Danir Group, as well as our clients and partners. The guests enjoyed the exhibition of “United by Victories” murals, listened to Ukrainian performers, took part in an auction of unique items all proceeds from which were aimed for impactful Star for Life Ukraine projects.

At Sigma Software Group, we are proud to be part of initiatives that go beyond business and touch lives. Charitable foundation Star for Life Ukraine, with the support of Sigma Software Group, helps unlock teenagers’ potential through education, mentorship, and innovation.

Since 2022, when the foundation was established as an extension of a global organization Star for Life, it has enabled over 25,000 students to participate in various educational courses and programs, supported 400+ children with laptops and PCs, opened and helped equip 15 computer labs in schools across Ukraine, and organized numerous educational and career orientation events for Ukrainian children.

22,000 Dreams Interrupted: a Night of Hope and Generosity

Star for Life Ukraine Charity Dinner was held in Malmö, Sweden to highlight challenges that Ukrainian children face in life and education, spotlight the foundation’s educational and humanitarian projects, and to raise funds for implementation of such projects. The dinner brought together around 60 guests, including representatives of Swedish businesses, our clients, and colleagues, all united by a common goal: supporting educational initiatives for Ukrainian children. Swedish entrepreneur and philanthropist Dan Olofsson and his wife Christine, founders of a global Star for Life organization, joined the event together with their family.

The highlights of the event were a guitar performance of 11-year-old Yaroslava, who came from a frontline town, the powerful vocals of Maria Sur, a young star who fled Zaporizhzhia and now sings to thousands across Sweden, striking artwork from United by Victories, a project created with support of Sigma Software Group, and an auction featuring impressive lots kindly provided by Swedish and Ukrainian stars. A signed sweater from Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA, Jamala’s iconic red hat from her “Wings” album, together with her signed vinyl, signed boxing gloves from Vitali Klitschko, world champion and current Mayor of Kyiv, signed books from Swedish authors Jenny Strömstedt and Malou von Sivers – these are just a few of the lots that were auctioned at the event.

United by Victories: Stories to be Heard

United by Victories project, including 25 unique works representing the Victory of Ukraine, raised a lot of interest among guests. Just like Start for Life Ukraine, this project appeared in 2022. To support and uplift the spirit of Ukrainians, Sigma Software, together with partners, organized a street art festival that brought together the best artists to create a large-scale mural “United by Victories”.

During the festival, artists from all 25 regions of our country painted 25 stories of small and big victories on the territory of the largest mall in Eastern Europe Victoria Gardens in Lviv on one wall of 400 square meters. The project gained recognition among thousands of Ukrainians and has become a favorite project of our colleagues, because everyone finds strength in it for themselves. To show the project to the world and tell the stories behind each artwork, we created replicas of the murals and display them in various cities in Ukraine and abroad.

At the Charity Dinner in Malmo, the artworks also gained a lot of traction as lots at the auction, representing the regions and projects that needed support.

Contributions and Supported Social Projects

These contributions made at the event will help restore what was taken from Ukrainian children during years of hardship — education, emotional support, and the freedom to dream.

The projects that will be continued or implemented thanks to the raised funds:

  • Leadership & Wellbeing Camp – The camp will be held in the Carpathians for 15 Ukrainian girls affected by the war.
  • Girls in Tech & Leadership Program – A groundbreaking program designed to empower girls to step into the tech world, challenge stereotypes, and become the innovators of tomorrow.
  • Mental Boost – Sessions with experienced psychologists that help children explore key emotional and mental health topics – from understanding their feelings to building resilience and handling life’s ups and downs.
  • Star for Life Tech Lab in Kherson – A specially equipped classroom for IT courses in a safe location.

Valery Krasovsky, CEO and Co-Founder of Sigma Software Group, Chairman of the Board of Star for Life Ukraine addressed the guests with a heartfelt speech about the importance of supporting Ukrainian children and helping them build a brighter future. Valery said:

“This evening is a powerful reminder that when businesses and communities unite, we can turn challenges into opportunities for growth and hope. Every contribution made tonight helps Ukrainian children reclaim their right to learn, dream, and thrive. With the funds raised, we don’t just give these children a laptop, an IT course, or a week in a place without shelling – we provide them a stair to reach a better future.”

As Svitlana Bovkun, Brand Manager at Sigma Software, shared:
“I was deeply touched not only by the generosity, but also by the sincere support the guests expressed. It was truly an inspiring and empowering evening for all of us.”

Every donation, every gesture of support brings us closer to giving back those dreams. Together with Star for Life Ukraine and our partners, we will continue to invest in educational programs that empower young Ukrainians to pursue ambitious goals and achieve great things.
