Sigma Ukraine takes part in the third GTF Grant Committee Meeting in Kyiv
On December 19, Global Technology Foundation hosted the third Grant Committee Meeting in Kyiv. 2 best Ukrainian startups received ₴240 000 grants and mentor’s help from GTF founders. Sigma Ukraine was one of the partners of the event according to the cooperation agreement signed with GTF in November, 2013.
Grant Fund Global Technology Foundation was founded in 2013 by Runa Capital, Almaz Capital, TA Venture, and Bionic Hill. It aims to develop Ukrainian startup community and motivate young entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into real projects.
GTF regularly hosts Grant Committee Meetings where startups, who applied for a grant, get a chance to get funded. At the third GTF Committee Meeting startup projects iblazr and LeadScanner were considered the best by the Grant Committee and won grants and mentor’s help from GTF. Sigma Ukraine as one of the partners of GTF will provide consultancy services in respect of launching new IT products from technological and business perspective.
“We have more than 6 years of experience in consulting, developing and launching startup projects from the US and Europe, helping them to get from an idea to successful release, and we continue cooperation with them even after their acquiring by other big companies,” said Valery Krasovsky, COO at Sigma Ukraine. “In November, 2013 we signed cooperation agreement with GTF, according to which granted startups will be able to order technical and consulting support from Sigma Ukraine, using our knowledge in development processes, software technologies and special methodologies used for new products development.”
“Our goal is to create favorable environment for Ukrainian startup community, that’s why we strive to help startups get funding and mentoring of their projects,” said Alex Anikin, President of GTF. “The cooperation agreement signed with Sigma Ukraine is a part of ecosystem we aspire to develop, and which will ensure GTF and Sigma Ukraine’s help in consulting and launching startups. We will continue extending our partnership to help IT startups in Ukraine with all aspects of business development.”
