Supporting Lviv Data Science Summer School at UCU

Sigma Software became a General Partner of Ukrainian Catholic University Summer School. It is a brand new educational initiative intended for undergraduates, PhD students, and young professionals willing to study the state-of-the-art methods and tools of computer science. Within the frameworks of cooperation Sigma Software experts give a course of lectures on Big Data for the school students, present the speech about using these technologies in the company projects, and more.

The goal of the Summer School is to give the students practice-oriented knowledge in the field of Data Science. This year`s program includes introductory courses, practical classes, and working on joint projects to approbate the previously obtained knowledge and skills. The projects` demos will be presented at the end of the school.

Our company has a wide experience working on the projects with Big Data technologies, and we are ready to share our hands-on experience with the students. Alexander Dik, Sigma Software expert in development of enterprise application with strong focus on fault tolerant high performance distributed cloud systems, is running a 6-hour course of lectures. Moreover, Boris Trofimov, our Big Data expert, gave a speech about company`s competence in the field.
