Ukrainian EdTech Players Launch EdTech Ukraine Association

Sigma Software University, educational platform of Sigma Software Group, became one of the founders of EdTech Ukraine association aimed to establish a competence center for the development of educational technologies in Ukraine as well as help businesses and the public sector implement innovations in education.

EdTech Ukraine association has been launched to unite specialized businesses for the joint development of the EdTech ecosystem in Ukraine. An initiative group of companies that united to establish the association are operating in the Ukrainian education technology market and include.

  • Sigma Software University – an educational platform aimed at developing IT education in Ukraine;
  • Kooperativ – a coworking and growth studio, one of the centers of Kyiv innovation ecosystem;
  • Optima Educational Center – the first and largest remote education school in Ukraine;
  • GIOS (Global Innovative Online School) – Ukrainian interactive platform for learning math.

The founding meeting of EdTech Ukraine took place on September 24. At the meeting, representatives of the founding companies announced that EdTech Ukraine aims to become the main competence center for the development of educational technologies in Ukraine. The association takes on a mission to help businesses and the public sector implement innovations in education.

EdTech to implement innovations in education

The chairman of the board of EdTech Ukraine is Natalia Limonova, founder of GIOS, and the board also includes Maxim Pochebut, CEO of Sigma Software University, Yuri Balkin, Strategy Development Director of Optima Educational Center, and Esben Trier, Head of Industry at ICEIE.

The Association has already become a member of the European Edtech Alliance, which brings together EdTech organizations from 30 European countries. Joining the European Edtech Alliance has become an important step towards strengthening international cooperation and sharing experience in the field of educational innovation. According to the founders, this cooperation opens up new opportunities for implementing advanced educational solutions and shaping the future of education.

The official launch of EdTech Ukraine will take place on October 17 at Kooperativ space in Kyiv (23A Sichovykh Striltsiv St.). The founders will hold a press conference for the media and present the association with guests from Denmark, Estonia, and representatives of the European Edtech Alliance, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

EdTech Ukraine launch

According to the founders, the creation of the association is a breakthrough that will provide Ukrainian EdTech companies with direct access to European markets, investments, and technological solutions. The association plans to conduct research and analysis of the Ukrainian EdTech market, support specialized startups and scalers in the field of innovation and AI implementation, as well as create a common space for cooperation and experience exchange and a press center that will accumulate industry news.

The EdTech Ukraine Association is open to cooperation with Ukrainian educational technology market players, the international community, and other businesses and organizations. The initiators of the association emphasize that together, the Ukrainian EdTech community has a unique opportunity to transform the future of education through the introduction of advanced technologies.
