Femmegineering

Female IT Developer

About Femmegineering

Femmegineering is dedicated to building a community of female tech professionals through educational events and inspiring career stories from industry leaders. The initiative aims to contribute to a more equitable tech industry by increasing the visibility of female role models and fostering an inclusive environment where women are equipped with the tools and resources to build successful careers in IT.

Initially launched by Sigma Group in Sweden, the Femmegineering initiative gained new momentum in 2022 when Sigma Software Group scaled it to emerging tech markets across Europe, including Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, and Portugal.

The project includes three main elements:

  1. Inspiring and encouraging stories
  2. A series of knowledge-sharing events
  3. Educational courses

With  35% of women in the company compared to the industry average of 25%, we’ve already made significant efforts to build equality and gender balance. In 2023, we won the Partnership for Sustainability Award 2023 by UN Global Compact Ukraine and the title of the Best Workplace for Women in Tech.
