History

The history of Sigma Software can be traced back to 1995 when colleagues at several IT departments of Khartron Corporation (Kharkiv, Ukraine) set up the ITC Group. The main focus of the Group's activities was software development for Europe and the USA-based customers. In order to enhance its competitive position on the growing outsourcing market, in 2000 the eSP Consortium was created, bringing together more than 280 experts from six major IT companies in Kharkiv.

In 2002, the managing company of the Consortium was registered under the new name Eclipse Software Programming (Eclipse SP). So May 10, 2002 is the official founding date of the company as it looks today. From that moment, the active qualitative development of the company began. A development office in Odesa and a representative office in Arlington, the USA were opened, as well as representative offices in Switzerland and Austria; the company achieved the status of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and established development centers for large US and European clients. Also, the company started to develop its own products.

In 2006, Eclipse SP became a part of the Sigma Group (www.sigma.se), which facilitated work on the Scandinavian market and allowed to participate in the development of new and interesting projects for major international brands.

In 2011, the company changed its name to Sigma Ukraine, thus confirming its status as a member of the international Sigma Group of companies, which has offices in eleven countries and employs more than 2200 specialists.
